What we believe

These are the core convictions of our evangelical Protestant faith, expressed simply.

An open Bible in the morning light

Our faith

Our faith is simple to explain and deep to live: it rests on the Bible and has Jesus Christ at its centre.

We belong to the evangelical Protestant tradition. These are our core convictions, each with a Bible passage to read at your own pace.

God and His Word

Everything begins with God, who has made Himself known.

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, the authority for our faith and the way we live.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

God

We believe in one eternal God who exists in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Matthew 28:19

Jesus Christ and salvation

At the heart of our faith is a person.

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who died on the cross for our sins and rose again on the third day.

1 Corinthians 15:3-4

Salvation

We believe salvation is a gift of God's grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 2:8-9

The life of faith

Faith is lived out every day, as a family and as a community.

The church

We believe the church is the family of all believers, called to worship God, grow in His Word and serve others.

Acts 2:42

Prayer

We believe prayer is a real conversation with God and an essential part of the life of every believer and of the church.

Philippians 4:6

Christian life

We believe following Jesus transforms our daily life: how we love, how we work and how we treat others.

Romans 12:1-2
